Air Freight Export Coordinator

Our Client is an International Freight Forwarding company providing international and logistical needs from 3PL to sea, road and air freight.  Due to increased global growth, they are looking to appoint an Air Freight Export Coordinator to join their Air Operations team within their office in Heathrow.

You will be responsible for coordinating air freight activities on a day-to-day basis.

Air Freight Export Coordinator duties include:

• Ensure all air import/export jobs and customs declaration tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner
• Report any amendments to customs declarations immediately to the L ine M anager
• Ensure the operational system is always used and accurate
• Maintain regular communications with the network and sales team
• Look and propose new efficiencies in customer workflow
• Liaise with HMRC and maintenance of customs procedures
• Ensure all reports are completed as per provided deadline
• Ensure compliance with company policies
• Look and propose new efficiencies in customer workflow
• Ensure all goods are approved for deliver y
• Passing invoices from suppliers and providers within 48 hours from receipt
• Ensure Insurance is charged correctly
• Ensure insurance claims are given to the claims department immediately
• Propose and report strategies related to the Air products to the Line Manager

Skills, Experience and Competencies required from the Air Freight Export Coordinator:

• Proven experience within the Freight Forwarding sector
• Knowledge and experience of Import/Export multimodal business
• Knowledge/skills required for Air Freight sales and products
• Good understanding of logistics processes and procedures

You'll be organised by nature and will thrive in a fast paced and dynamic atmosphere.  Being proficient in Microsoft Office , having excellent attention to detail skills, as well as being good with numbers and a confident communicator are imperative attributes for the  Air Freight Export Coordinator.
