Job Title: Agile Team Leader
Contract Type: ASAP - 6 months
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Rate: £580 per day (Outside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Agile Team Leader to join our client's dynamic team in Edinburgh. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support agile teams in delivering high-quality digital services while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teams in ensuring continuous improvement and delivering value to customers.
  • Visualize teams' work and focus on flow, limiting work in progress (WIP), and delivering value.
  • Adapt processes to suit the teams and their work, rather than applying a rigid framework.
  • Monitor cycle times using quantitative tools such as Actionable Agile.
  • Build and maintain an open, trust-based environment within the teams.
  • Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other specialists, coaching them in agile working.
  • Foster strong, cohesive team dynamics and relationships based on autonomy, mastery, and purpose.
  • Promote cross-team collaboration and contribute to a learning culture in the Agile Community of Practice.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization and collaborate effectively with other suppliers and departments.
  • Support digital service delivery using the Digital Scotland Service Standard where required.

Essential Skills/Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of different agile concepts and techniques.
  • Evidence of embedding agile practices in teams and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to use the most relevant agile practices and adapt to different contexts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of agile product development and experience working with product teams in an agile environment.
  • Excellent understanding of good digital service delivery design, including experience with browser-based digital services.
  • Experience working in different industries and ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Being framework agnostic and using the right practices for the context.
