£30,000 - £45,000 (open to all levels of experience)

My client, a dynamic legal services provider specializing in housing disrepair matters, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Costs Draftsman to join their team. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate individual with a strong background in costs law to play a pivotal role in preparing bills, negotiating costs, and ensuring compliance with civil procedure rules.

As a Costs Draftsman, you will be responsible for the meticulous preparation of bills and costs budgets, including the drafting of 3 or 6 column inter parties bills. Your role will involve negotiating and settling costs matters, demonstrating a clear understanding and application of the civil procedure rules. The successful candidate will showcase excellent cost negotiation experience and advocacy skills.

This fully remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your own space, providing flexibility in your working hours. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team, working on housing disrepair cases, and maintaining a proactive approach to case management. The ability to handle incoming emails, post, and chase relevant parties for information is crucial for successful case progression.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background and relevant experience as a costs draftsman, showcasing technical proficiency and a keen understanding of the intricacies of costs law. You will be adept at using Proclaim and other IT tools, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team.
