Adviser

The Adviser will support the Principal Partner in progressing the business They will be responsible for managing a client base providing advice and high level of client service. They will be required to build the business and increase Funds under management via client activity. They will provide a high level of technical and advice support to clients and commit to servicing client needs on a regular ongoing basis.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure effective client servicing of existing client base
• Support Business development and client service strategy
• Generate new business
• Develops new client bank, professional networks and opportunities
• Contribute to the Marketing and social media strategy
• Dealing with client queries
• Preparing client files for meetings
• Attending client meetings
• Submitting business via internal systems and managing case pipeline
• Managing the client’s financial information and documents including collating information from various sources and updating/creating the Client Financial Review documents.
• Managing and resolve technical queries
• Liaising with clients, other areas within St. James’s Place, and third parties
• Managing your own workflow to ensure tasks are completed within a timely fashion
• Producing high quality correspondence to clients and providers
• Prepare suitability letters and reports, including cashflow analysis

Skills and Experience

We are looking for bright, self-motivated individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be proactive and have a strong desire to succeed. The ability to demonstrate solid verbal and numerical skills, along with technology capabilities, are also extremely important. You should have strong technical knowledge and be able to apply this, and convey it simply, to clients.To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Experience of working within an IFA, Bank or Wealth Management environment and either have attained the Level 4 Dip PFS qualification or be working towards it
• Ability to build rapport and manage client relationships, and have excellent attention to detail, plus the ability to self-manage and be superb at time management
• Possess outstanding client services skills, ensuring the very best outcomes for clients at all times, putting the clients’ interests first
• A very good working knowledge of Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office Programs, and be able to learn in-house admin platforms and processes
• The willingness to undertake personal development, including studying for Professional
• Qualifications, as well as maintaining internal qualification requirements & compliance standards.
