Advanced Teaching Assistant required

Engage Education are looking for a driven, persevering and compassionate individual to join this exciting SEN school that caters for children with special educational needs. Providing a lasting impact on the academic, and personal, growth of young people, you would be joining a learning environment that is dedicated to collaboration, support and nurture to ensure that every child receives the support they deserve. As a Learning Support Assistant you will be responsible for supporting pupils with complex SEMH and SEN needs, covering a variety of needs from Communication and interaction difficulties, cognitive and learning problems along with social, emotional, mental emotional health including those with sensory and/or physical needs - ensuring they receive the best experience of education and reach their full potential. You will be working with a team of dedicated professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either Academic or Communicative development.

This is a full-time role to start in May 2024

  • Paid up to £90 per day!

Person Specification

  • 1 year experience working to support people with SEN or other complex difficulties.
  • The ideal candidates will have lots of patience, be proactive and resilient- this role can be extremely challenging but also very rewarding.
  • The ability to take note of, and acting on, all issues relating to the well being and safeguarding of children.
  • Prescient behaviour management skills.
  • Profound ambition to contribute towards positive change in a child’s development.
  • Willing to undertake training days.
