Our Client, a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester, is seeking a Part-Time Adults Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Team.

Payrate of £30 per hour!

Dynamic working arrangements in place, along with regular supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Representing GMMH at the Council’s weekly multi-agency risk assessment conference (MARAC) and twice weekly GMP led vulnerable adult meetings.
  • Providing advice and support to the teams in relation to domestic abuse and MARAC referrals.
  • Acting as a link to the child safeguarding teams based at the Bridge in Salford.
  • Supporting individual staff and managers to work in accordance with s.42 Care Act and local adult safeguarding policy / procedures.
  • Acting as Enquiry Lead for s.42 enquiries when there is workload capacity for this.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have strong social work values, a good working knowledge of the Care Act, Care and Support statutory guidance and other national guidance as it relates to safeguarding adults.
  • Must have experience of statutory social work within Adults Services.
