This role has a starting salary of £12,488.50 based on an 18-hour per week (pro-rata to full time salary of £24,977 per annum). This is a 12-month fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity.

We are seeking a part-time Administration Assistant to join our friendly Continuing Care Team based in Fairmount House, Bull Hill, Leatherhead, KT22 7AH.

We are looking for someone for who can provide comprehensive administrative support to our Adult Wellbeing Health Partnership (AWHP) team.

The team offer hybrid working, however, you would be expected to be in the office every Wednesday and for one other day, every other week. You may be required to travel to other sites in Surrey to support operational functions.

Working days will be Wednesday afternoon, 12:30pm - 4:30pm and Thursday and Friday, 9:00am - 4:30pm.

About the Team

The Continuing Care team primarily provides expert support on All Age NHS Continuing Health Care (CHC) referrals, assessments and transfer of care/cases between SCC and Health. The team have been in existence from 2009 and has grown from 4 team members to 20 during this time. We have a culture of advocating for the individual and pursue the aim of "get it right first time" and leaving no one behind.

About the Role

As an Administration Assistant, your main duties will be processing email enquiries from Health Integrated Care Boards (ICB's). This can involve contacting care homes for further information, recording information on the social care system and filing the emails in the electronic database. You will also process referrals to Health ICB's, deal with emails advising of outcomes of CHC assessments, book team assessor's appointments and are responsible for answering the team telephone.

You will provide support to the team in the form of booking meeting rooms, printing documents and posting out where necessary. You will also need to both interrogate databases, and interpret data recorded which may be complex in nature. At times you will need to produce ad hoc reports from excel spreadsheets. Duties are rotated on a weekly basis to ensure all of the team can cover all of the functions.

The Admin team consists of 1 Senior Admin Advisor and 2 Administration Assistants who look forward to greeting a new member of the team.

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Excellent excel and IT skills with quick and accurate data entry
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with customer service experience
  • Minute and note taking skills
  • A flexible, mature approach, with good organisation and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment and ability to work as part of a team
