Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a London Borough Council which is in need of an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their team.

ROLE: Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer (Solicitor, Legal executive or Barrister)

RATE: £55-£60ph

LOCATION: London Borough Council. The role can be done remotely but would involve attending the office once a month

CONTRACT LENGTH: 5 months ongoing

The Role:

  • Deal with an Adult Social Care legal files from start to completion. This would involve dealing with C.O.P. work and mental health cases
  • There will be some expectation to advise on some Children Act work such as NRPF, CA 1989 JRs, age assessments etc.
  • Handle any other responsibilities required for the successful running of the team

The Person:

  • Someone who has 3+ years of P.Q.E. in Adult Social Care Law (Solicitor, Legal executive or Barrister)
  • Someone who has an understanding of the structural framework of Local Authority Law and has worked at a Local Authority before
  • Someone who is able to deal with their own caseload independently whilst also assisting others with theirs
