Reed Further Education are working with a college in the Selly Oak area who are looking for a full-time admissions team leader (admissions and IAG Coordinator).

The ideal candidate will have education/admissions experience in a fast paced environment. The candidate will also have strong team management skills, knowledge of information, advice and guidance in an education setting and excellent customer service skills.

Job Title: Admissions Coordinator Team Leader (Admissions and IAG Coordinator)
Duration: Permanent, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000 to £27,600 per annum.
Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham

In the role you would be required to:

- Co-ordinate the work of Admissions and Reception, line managing the team of 4.

- Provide Careers information Advice and Guidance to students and potential students.

- Ensure the whole learner journey is informed by learners’ needs and goals from initial enquiry through to progression and regularly reviewed.

- As a member of the wider Safeguarding team be an initial point of contact and advice for staff and students with concerns.

- Work flexibly when required by the college to ensure weekend and evening courses are well supported.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on referrals, marketing, management information systems and student systems.

The essential requirements for the role are:

- Ability to line manage and lead a team.

- Experience of working with a range of people with different requirements in a customer facing role.

- Experience of co-ordinating a student admissions process.

- Organisational and administrative experience in a fast-paced role

The desirable requirements for the role are:

- Leadership or management qualification.

- IAG (Information Advice and Guidance) qualification at level 3 and willingness to undertake training towards an IAG level 5 qualification.

- Enhanced DBS on the update service or a clear DBS issued within the last year.
