We have an exciting new role become available for a Crime Management Bureau Administrator to work for Lincolnshire Police at their headquarters in Nettleham.

This is a role where you will be working shifts between 8am and 8pm working 4 days on 4 days off working 37 hours a week.

It is a temporary ongoing position and will be office based.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION

JOB PURPOSE: To undertake crime classification, allocation and finalisation of crime in accordance with the National Crime Recording Standards and the National Standard for Incident Recording.

To maintain and interrogate Police Computer Systems, to quality control the accuracy and validity of information held in accordance with Force Policy, National Guidance and the Data Protection Act 1984. Promote equality of opportunity to the people of Lincolnshire and treat all individuals fairly with dignity and respect. To provide a high quality, customer focused administrative support.

Demonstrate the force values at all time. All staff involved in carrying out functions in this role will do so in accordance with the principles of the Code of Ethics. The aim of the Code of Ethics is to support each member of the policing profession to deliver the highest professional standards in their service to the public.

CORE WORK AREAS

  1. Responsible for the inputting, reviewing, classifying, finalisation and quality control of all crime information directly onto Niche RMS and other force computer systems in line with the National Crime Recording Standards and in accordance with policies and directives current at the relevant
  2. Carry out enquiries on force computer systems to assist investigating officers, partner and external
  3. Maintain and action the Force Forensic hits (DNA and Fingerprint) in accordance with policies and directives current at the relevant time
  4. Answer telephone enquiries from members of the public and provide the appropriate advice and guidance as necessary
  5. Undertake other clerical and administrative tasks as required including maintenance of data

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Experience within a computerised office environment which includes experience of the collation, analysis and evaluation of information
  • Ability to complete workloads within set timescales
  • Able to use own initiative and work unsupervised
  • Able to demonstrate logical process for decision making
  • Communicates effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing avoiding jargon
  • Able to demonstrates a flexible / adaptable approach to working practices
