My Local Government Client is looking for an Admin and Finance Team Leader to join their team on an initial 6-month contract

£20.50 per hour (inside IR35 via an umbrella company)

37 hrs a week

6 months extendable

Location: Hempstead, Gloucester

The successful Admin and Finance Leader will be a natural leader with excellent organisational skills, have financial acumen and knowledge of financial systems.

Key responsibilities

  • You will take charge of a dynamic team responsible for delivering the administration and finance support that keeps the service operating.
  • Knowledge of financial systems, ideally SAP, to help make a difference to our service.
  • Your role involves supervising, coaching, and guiding a team of dedicated staff, ensuring seamless day to day operations and delivering service excellence.
  • Plan and coordinate the day-to-day operations for our Administration and Finance team.
  • Lead a service that can meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Provide support with financial matters, including support for budget monitoring.
  • Plan resources effectively with the flexibility to respond to changing needs and priorities.
  • Contribute to a customer driven culture of continual improvement.
  • Establish clear and transparent processes for monitoring work and measuring results to meet customer needs.
  • Assist with the ongoing review of processes and risks to ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively, reducing transaction costs and risks to the business.
