Are you a passionate, dedicated SWA looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Social Work Assistant to join a team based in Leeds.  

Umbrella Rate: £16.81 per hour 

Duration: 3 months initially 

Hours: Adhoc (pick up several contacts throughout the week when they are available) – Hybrid

SWA role: Full JD Available

• Support social workers with day-to-day tasks
• Direct work with children and families
• Supervision of family time between looked after children and their birth families/ carers
• Transporting children where necessary
• Identifying an referring for support
• Immediately raise any concerns you may have
• Make notes of the family time and write reports
• Provide support to parents where necessary on things such as child development/ general parenting
• Routine visits to assess needs
• Contacting agencies and clients for support and setting up appointments
• Maintain up to date records
• Attend meetings and reviews where necessary

Essential Requirements

• UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
• Experience working with and supporting vulnerable children and families in need
• Experience of producing reports and written observations
• Knowledge of key legislation relevant to social care work
• Knowledge of the functions of a health and social care department
• Must be able to work well as a team
• Must be flexible
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Must already have an Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
