Our client is a privately owned industrial adhesive manufacturer based in the Midland area. Due to sustained growth through innovation, they are seeking to recruit an experienced Adhesive/Formulation Chemist to join their Technical Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively within a small team to enhance and diversify their adhesive product range.
  • Develop adhesive formulations from conception to final production.
  • Provide technical expertise in solvent-based adhesives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (1st or 2:1) in Chemistry, Polymer, Materials Science, or related discipline from a UK university. Candidates with a PhD and relevant commercial or research experience in solvent-based adhesives will also be considered.
  • Several years of laboratory experience, preferably in solvent-based adhesives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent initiative.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure.

Skills: Formulation and product development of solvent-based adhesives.
