Accounts Senior – Ormskirk - Hybrid role with both home and office working - To £40,000 + Benefits

Our client is a highly successful and ambitious private firm of accountants that is looking to strengthen its team by recruiting to the role of Accounts Senior. With an enviable diverse portfolio and an excellent reputation locally for delivering a high-quality service, you will be joining a highly regarded firm that offers on-going support and development.

The Job:

Reporting to the Partners you will be responsible for :

  • Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Preparing company tax returns
  • Preparing personal tax returns
  • Preparing management accounts
  • Directly liaising with the client staff and establishing strong on-going relationships throughout the year.
  • Prioritising and planning work to meet the expectations of the client and managing any conflicting pressures by making the best use of your time and resources.
  • Managing the client’s reporting requirements and ensuring that any expectations and/or deadlines are met.
  • Supervising and controlling the completion of work and providing “on the job” training where required.
  • Ensuring that the assignment is completed on budget and communicating with both the partner and client any anticipated overruns.
  • Performing the firms review and completion procedures and attending the final meeting with the client ensuring the client receives the final accounts and commercial management letter on a timely basis.

The Person:

The client is very open on qualifications and would be happy with either someone qualified or whom is qualified by experience if they have the relevant practical experience. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to present information both internally and externally and you will be expected to multi-task and work under pressure with accuracy and focus, therefore strong organisation and time management skills are essential.
