My client are an established practice based in mid-Essex with an interesting and varied client portfolio. They provide a full range of services to suit businesses large and small, from bookkeeping to financial analysis.

Due to business growth they now seek a semi-senior accountant to join the team and manage accounting responsibilities on behalf of clients. This role would suit someone studying their professional qualifications who is keen to continue their development, there is also the opportunity to continue or start developing your audit skills.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts and corporate tax responsibilities for businesses and partnerships.
  • Support clients with management accounts production.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • P11d preparation for client employees and directors.
  • Support statutory audits for a range of businesses
  • Manage your own client portfolio including regular liaison and visits with clients, also focussing on developing new business for the organisation.

The role requires an experienced practice accountant, if you do not have any or little audit experience full training can be provided. You will be AAT qualified or near to qualification or studying ACCA / ACA. Systems experience will include Sage, Xero, Quickbooks and some bespoke software. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their practice career.
