A thriving but smaller independent firm of accountants with a national footprint and strong reputation for high-level client care now has another outstanding new opportunity for an accounts semi-senior.

The firm offers a very supportive and team-focused environment, reflected by a very low staff turnover and long-serving staff.

The firm operates for a full spectrum of clients, but in particular, they have a very busy and thriving outsourced and business services offering.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies and sole traders from trial balance stage and incomplete records
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Preparation, review and presentation of client management information as required
  • Preparing corporate tax and personal tax returns
  • Calculation and filing of some client VAT returns as required
  • Addressing and discussing with clients any technical accounting issues identified during the course of client work

Requirements

  • You may be AAT studying, qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • You will have anything from 3 - 5 years + experience within a client-facing capacity
  • Experience of cloud software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Kashflow etc. would be advantageous.
