A leader in their field based in Derby are looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
Your new role will include but not be limited to:
- Management and reporting of aged debtors
- Deal with queries
- Ownership and reconciliation of assigned Balance Sheet accounts
- Ensure all statements are correct and issued as agreed
- Responsible for AR Period End and reconciliations to meet month end deadlines, including running and posting the void report
- Ensure that all Direct Debits are collected on time and posted to the ledger
- Responsible for all refunds to residents ensuring they are paid on time and posted to the ledger
- Manage the credit control function within the team and have regular debtor meetings with the head of department
- Ensure billing is completed and posted on time.
- Responsible for cash postings.
- Flexible in undertaking the duties and responsibilities attached to this role and may be asked to perform other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of their job and level of responsibility.
- To provide ad hoc support to the wider UK finance organization as required.
- Be responsible for recruitment within the team.
- Monitor the email inbox's regularly and ensure all questions and queries are resolved in timely manner to prevent escalation to senior management.
- To be the first point of contact for the audit and provide information and examples as requested.
- Organize workload of the Accounts Receivable team and ensure all team members have a full understanding of their duties and responsibilities
- Manage direct reports through individual objective setting and performance management, regular 1:1's and team meetings, and identification of training needs.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in managing credit/ AR team as part of a role previously
- Experience working in a busy finance team, and to deadlines
- Positive 'can-do' attitude
