This role is for an Accounts Receivable Clerk within the Technology industry, based in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and facilitating the swift and accurate processing of payments.

Description

The successful Accounts Receivable Clerk will do a proportion of the following:

* Responsible for the sales invoicing function including:

* Raising and the distribution of invoices, organising despatch, budget coding and posting of invoices into accounts system.

* Production of all invoices from spreadsheets provided by staff, organising despatch, budget coding and posting invoices into accounts system.

* Credit control - communicate internally and externally to obtain timely payments from customers via various collection methods.

* Administration of the purchasing records and chasing for missing information.

* Raising Invoices & updating relevant spreadsheet.

* Uploading invoices to designated customer portals

* Maintaining accurate records of all invoices that have been raised including logging of information against PO records. Ensuring adequate PO cover is maintained for customers and ensuring that payment terms agree with contracts.

* Understanding the principle of Project Numbers and Quotes. Raising Quote requisitions and maintaining records.

* Responding to internal and external invoice queries.

* To liaise with Operational contacts and Regional Managers regarding Sales Invoicing and debt collection.

* Production of bi-monthly statement runs for both companies.

Profile

A successful Accounts Receivable Clerk should have:

  • A solid understanding of accounts receivable and general accounting procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • The ability to work well in a team and independently
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
