What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting various financial operations within the organisation. Your responsibilities will include setting up payment runs across finance systems, supporting continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing departmental efficiencies, and assisting in developing staff to increase invoice processing standards. You will also be responsible for reconciling supplier statements, delivering management information to leadership teams, processing invoices accurately and timely, managing queries until resolution, working collaboratively with other teams in resolving procurement-related issues, and advocating for our business values.

Support and cover the setting up of payments runs across the finance systems per the timetable and ensure they have updated correctly.
Support continuous improvement, including processes, systems and support targeted to improve departmental efficiencies.
Support the development staff to increase the standard and quality of Invoice processing and ensure the appropriate internal control environment and compliance to all regulatory requirements.
Taking calls and responding to emails from staff within 48 hours.
Reconcile, review and report on Supplier statements. Request copy invoices from suppliers or scan to Building Managers/Surveyors for current status if we have unauthorised invoices.
Support the delivery of Management and oversite information to leadership and business partners/stakeholders.
Processing Invoices onto finance systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of processing.
Support on management of queries to full resolution with Suppliers, Surveyors and Facilities Managers.
Actively work with other teams in REM in resolving queries regarding the procure-to-pay process.
Be an advocate of overall business values.
