About the opportunity

We are recruiting an aspiring Accounts Payable Clerk to join our expanding Accounts Payable team based at our Customer Service Centre in Walsall.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will report to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, You will be responsible for answering telephone calls, emails and queries within the Team.

What you'll be doing...

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, your duties will consist of:

  • Reconciling Supplier Statements to the Finance System
  • Completion of weekly Sensitive Accounts Statements
  • Ensure invoices are processed
  • As a frontline role, you will be expected to take all calls from suppliers and resolve questions and queries
  • Liaising with different teams within the business to make sure all invoices are processed
  • Ensure that any correspondence relating to overdue accounts are actioned
  • Maintain close working relationships with suppliers and internal departments
What you'll need...
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced Accounts Payable department
  • A detailed understanding of Accounts Payable processes and controls
  • A good working knowledge of stock procedures and reporting
  • Good standard of excel
  • Ability to work within a team an on an individual basis.
