I'm currently looking for an accounts payable clerk to join an established company based within Birmingham

Role: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Birmingham, Aston
Salary: £25,000
Working Type: Full Time Hybrid

Main function of the job:

Perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions across multiple ledgers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full oversight of multiple company ledgers
  • Accurate coding of supplier invoices onto Xero Accounting Software
  • Liaise with operational staff on weekly basis to obtain relevant invoice approvals
  • Preparation of weekly payment runs
  • Accurate payment of invoices in accordance with agreed payment terms
  • Accurate allocation of supplier payments via bank reconciliation
  • Statement reconciliations for all suppliers
  • Produce aged creditor analysis for monthly management accounts board pack
  • Upkeep of rent schedules
  • Upkeep of void/staff rooms report
  • Ad-Hoc Duties as Required

What we're looking for:

  • Advanced Excel Skills including vlookups, pivot tables, etc
  • Strong IT / systems skills
  • Experience of Xero Accounting Package preferred but not essential
  • People Skills
  • Commercially focused professional
