The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a vital part of our Accounting & Finance team, requiring excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality financial services in the Business Services industry.

Our client is a well-established company in the Business Services industry, employing over 500 dedicated professionals across several locations. They are headquartered in the heart of Bristol and are respected for their commitment to excellence.

Description

  • Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
  • Handle account inquiries from internal and external sources
  • Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Generate financial reports detailing accounts payables status

Profile

A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
  • A keen eye for detail
