Accounts Payable Assistant - About The Role

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that intercompany and third party suppliers are paid in accordance with agreed terms.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Administration of Purchase Ledger Accounts for UK & European entities
  • Reconcile supplier statements received and receipts on relevant ledgers
  • Reconcile goods received not yet invoiced (GRNI)
  • Communicate with suppliers and other staff members to pay authorised debt
  • Process, code, and match purchase invoices at high volume, adhering to company policies
  • Ensure correct authorisation has been received for invoice approval
  • Set up new accounts
  • Process direct debits onto ledger
  • Prepare payment runs for authorisation
  • EHS/Enablon monthly sustainability management data submission
  • Collaborate closely with other departments as needed to facilitate payment of supplier debt

The successful Accounts Payable Assistant will have/be:

  • Strong numerical ability
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Capable of handling pressure effectively
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution
  • Skilled in building collaborative relationships
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
