Our client requires an experienced Accounts Payable to support the team. You will be working for a fast paced, fast growth major sportswear brand, reporting into the AP & AR Manager, enjoying wide exposure to all areas of the business.

You will be supporting the team with processing of the Accounts Payable function within the business, with an emphasis on timely and correct delivery of standard duties, along with any ad-hoc tasks that will arise. This position requires an individual who is eager to get into the detail whilst continuing to learn and develop, with vast potential to grow their role within the team!

Your role;

Responsible for processing purchase invoices and supplier bills correctly and within company time-frames

  • Liaising with operations to ensure stock in/out movement is correct before payments are authorised
  • Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
  • Ensure correct invoices are matched & queries raised with relevant departments
  • Processing multi-currency payments, ensure correct tax treatment
  • Carrying out analysis on AP and cash balances
  • Preparing and completing journals and investigating debit balances
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Assist with Bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with key stakeholders within the business

Key skills and competencies needed;

  • Minimum 6mths - 1years AP experience
  • Flexible approach
  • Self-motivated
  • Confidence to positively challenge stakeholders where appropriate
  • Proficient IT skills including Excel
