Accounts Manager - Chelsmford

SRM are pleased to be working with this dynamic and growing organisation who are looking to recruit a Accounts Manager

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Manager, you will play a crucial role in the finance team. You will be responsible for paying bills, billing clients and customers, tracking company assets and expenditures and maintaining accurate records, providing strategic insights, and supporting informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Accounts Office for the group, ensuring that all tasks are carried out completely and within the required timeframes.
  • Management of the day-to-day cash inflows and outflows for each business bank account.
  • Purchase Ledger Management - Aiding the Purchase Ledger staff when needed to ensure that this busy function is kept up to date and accurate at all times.
  • Management Accounts / intercompany accounting for the smaller companies in the group
  • Aiding the Group Financial Controller as and when required including with the annual audit of all companies.
  • Ensuring that the requirements of all other departments and divisions are met

About you:

  • Level 3 AAT qualification minimum or similar experience (at least 3 years office accountancy management experience)
  • Highly motivated to meet requirements of the role autonomously and as part of the team, effectively collaborating with the team & other stakeholders.
  • Multi-tasker who remains calm and effective under pressure, ensuring work is completed fully and completely within required timeframes
  • Good Excel Skills
  • Must hold a full driving Licence and have access to own transport, due to office location
