Reed Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of a successful company in Leigh-on-Sea to assist in their search for a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual to manage the finance function in a sole role.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounting.
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions and reporting.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports, including monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Conducting regular financial analysis, identifying trends, and providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Managing the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Implementing and maintaining robust financial systems and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Leading the procurement process and managing supplier relationships.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process.

Key candidate requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a sole capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 and Excel.
