Job Title: Accounts Manager/Administrator

Location: Birmingham, UK

Position Overview: They are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Manager/Administrator to join their team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and supporting the smooth functioning of our administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Handle payroll duties efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Conduct VAT submissions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process invoices accurately and promptly.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Generate financial reports for management review.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Manager/Administrator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in SAGE 50 software.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and experience in payroll management.
  • Familiarity with VAT submissions and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in the fire protection industry (preferred but not required).

Salary Range: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
