In this role, as a Accounts & Bookkeeper Senior serving our client's esteemed clientele, you will play a pivotal role in their financial journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up Xero from inception and efficiently managing bank feeds.
  • Precision processing of transactions on Xero.
  • Effective utilization of Dext and Hubdoc for streamlined workflows.
  • Monthly reconciliations to uphold accuracy.
  • Preparation of VAT Returns and providing compliance guidance to clients.
  • Reviewing Management Accounts to provide accurate insights.
  • Producing final year-end Trial Balances for annual accounts compilation.
  • Guiding clients on utilizing Xero, including issuing sales invoices.
  • Managing non-standard VAT Returns such as Flat Rate and the Margin Scheme.
  • Prompt and accurate processing of VAT Registrations.
  • Maintaining records using double-entry bookkeeping principles.

Essential qualifications for this role include:

  • 5 to 10 years of relevant bookkeeping experience in a practice background.
  • Proficiency in Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients within a practice setting.
  • Familiarity with outsourcing processes and managing outsourced bookkeeping.
  • Strong communication skills for effective client interactions via phone, in-person, or virtual meetings.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and effectively prioritize tasks.
