Accounts Assistant

Job Description: As a Finance Assistant with our property management company, you will assume a crucial role in maintaining the financial stability of our organization while providing essential support to our property management operations. Your responsibilities will span a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with property managers to manage rent and service charge tasks, including arrears chasing, accounts preparation, statements, and reconciliations.
- Facilitate payment processing for creditor invoices approved by property managers and assist in service charge reconciliations and budget preparation.
- Engage with client finance teams and advisors to provide financial reports from Tramps.
- Handle the receipt of daily funds into the Commercial Client account and perform timely bank reconciliations.
- Utilize our bank's online payment system to post payments to creditors.
- Manage all card payments via telephone, ensuring system maintenance and compliance with PCI standards.
- Maintain petty cash and organize logical and up-to-date filing systems.
- Utilize established computer systems and software, primarily TRAMPS and Caldes.
- Manage correspondence and communication in accordance with Miller Commercial’s policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Keep office diaries, calendars, emails, telephones, filing, and other systems up-to-date.
- Cultivate strong public relations skills.
- Comply with the requirements of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
- Be familiar with SAGE Accounts to provide cover when required and assist the Head of Accounts.
- Fulfill any other activities reasonably required by the Partners.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A finance or accounting background, with relevant qualifications or experience.
- Proven proficiency in financial management, bookkeeping, and treasury functions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and tenant interactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive and enthusiastic personality with a commitment to excellence.
