A leading Lakeland brand are lookng for an Accounts Assistant to join their close knit team. This luxurious brand are well positioned in their market place and will be an integral part of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The role of the Accounts Assistant is to be responsible for their own set of finance duties as outlined below, working under the direction of the Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant must be capable of working unsupervised and managing their own key responsibilities to a highly detailed standard.

Key Tasks:

  • Accurate processing of supplier invoices
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements and maintaining correct supplier balances
  • Supplier payments and correct reconciliation of same
  • Dealing with all supplier queries
  • Monthly stock take preparation and completion
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed to the agreed standard and timescale and that an effective system is in place for the filing, storage and retrieval of all documents
  • Month end tasks to ensure close by the deadline
  • Tasks to cover the Accounts Receivable Assistant as required
  • Daily reconciliation of debit/credit card transactions
  • Preparation of cash for daily banking
  • Resolving card payment queries with all departments
  • Aged Debtors reconciliations
  • Other adhoc tasks specified by the Finance Manager

The ideal Accounts Assistant will be studying towards their AAT and a strong knowledge of Excel is a pre-requisite. In return the succesful candidate can expect on going study support, fantastic working environment as well as 25 days holiday.
