WE Talent have an exciting opportunity for a valued client in Chelmsford who are looking to recruit a full-timeAccounts Assistant to join their friendly team. This role may suit someone who is studying towards professional accountancy examinations.

Acting individually and as part of a team you will be supporting the wider Accounts function as well as having your own nominated duties.

Responsibilities

  • Daily input and/or authorisation of electronic bank payments
  • Write cheques, arrange signatures and pay in to the bank
  • Daily input of bank transactions onto the accounts system
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of historic cashflows as requested
  • Managing BACS files and reports
  • Filing, scanning and photocopying
  • Data input
  • Arranging and assisting with audits
  • Set up files for accounts
  • Prepare draft reports and accounts

Requirements

  • Varied, accounts experience, ideally in a commercial professional service setting
  • Good telephone manner and clear communication and verbal skills
  • Confident in Word and Excel
  • Ability to plan and organise work
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and cope with high volumes of work
  • Able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Essential to work as part of a team
