Accounts Assistant
  • Location: Bury St Edmunds
  • Salary: Up to £14 per hour, dependent on experience
  • Job Type: 4-month temp to perm

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis with the potential for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in bookkeeping and administrative tasks, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of Sage50 software.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Sage50, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
  • Manage credit control, maintaining healthy cash flow by ensuring timely payments from customers.
  • Print and input purchase ledger invoices into Sage, maintaining organised financial records.
  • Respond to email queries from customers, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Handle absence leave requests, keeping track of employee attendance and leave balances.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations across all business operations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with finance administrative duties.
  • Proficiency in using Sage50 software.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
