Accounts Assistant
We are keen to find a experienced Accounts Assistant to join a highly renowned public sector organisation to join their accounts team who are responsible for carrying out a wide range of accounting responsibilities covering a regional area.

This is a full time job, working from their centralised office in the centre of Norfolk with the opportunity to work hybird after successful training programme completed.
The benefits
Salary offered is up to £24-30,000 dependant on experience, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, free parking based on site, refurbished/modernised office, generous employer pension contribution.
The day to day
- Core focus will be on Sales Ledger with the scope to be involved in credit control and finance administration.
- Running daily processes and reports, data entry, VAT, journal preparation and input, month and year end processes.
- Production of all sales ledger invoices within target timescales and performance targets.
- Chasing overdue outstanding debts in accordance with debt recovery procedures.
- Identify and resolve queries arising in respect of the sales ledger and respond by letter, telephone, email or in person.
- Ensure all control sheets are authorized and appropriately filed to comply with audit requirements.
- Responsible for performing monthly and daily bank as well as ensuring all bank transfers, payments and income are correctly inputted.
- Coordinating un-referenced income, allocation of petty cash, reviewing central procedures.
- Involvement with purchase ledger and ordering.
- Assist with final accounts tasks in accordance with the final accounts timetable.
- Working as part of a small but highly experienced accounts team.
You will have
- 1 years minimum experience of working within either a sales or purchase ledger capacity.
- Minimum 4 GCSE’s grade A-C including Maths and English.
- Previous experience working within public sector or a similar environment, coupled with AAT qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
- A results driven individual who is able to work as part of a cohesive team.
