Orka Financial is currently supporting our client based in Reading who are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their small busy finance team. The role would suit a good all round accounts professional who likes to be involved with many aspects of the accounts team.

The Accounts Assistant requires an individual who can take full ownership of their own workload

The ideal candidate will enjoy building good working relationships with suppliers and be confident working in a varied role, this is a hands on opportunity with lots of variety.

Hours 9am-5pm -flexible on (starting & finishing time) on-site parking, private healthcare + additional company benefits.

  • Processing of invoices
  • Supplier payment runs
  • Month end statements
  • Posting against purchase order numbers, checking coding in Sage
  • Entering all invoices onto Sage.
  • Credit control tasks
  • Fixed Assets
  • Dealing with various ad hoc payments and processing.
  • Checking that all contractor invoices are received in time for payment runs.
  • Bank statement entries and reconciling the bank accounts.

Candidate profile

  • Experience within a previous Finance role
  • Attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Sage knowledge


Salary £35,000 - £37,000 + Private Medical Insurance, dental insurance, on site parking
