We are delighted to be partnering with a leading Cambridge college as they seek to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This role has become available due to a departure within the team and within the role, you will report into the Financial Accountant. The role is a part time position for around 21.5 hours per week, and the hours will ideally be spread across 4 or 5 days due to the nature of the role. The role does offer some flexibility to work from home after an initial 3 month period.

As the incoming Accounts Assistant, you will be trained by the team to help support on a number of accountancy and payroll duties. These include:
- Processing payroll journals
- Assisting with data input for both monthly and quarterly payrolls
- Bank reconciliations
- Posting invoices
- Assisting with donations and reconciliations regarding these
- Additional ad hoc duties as per the full job description.

As the successful candidate for this role, you will have some previous experience working in a busy accountancy role, with experience of using Finance systems such as Sage and good knowledge of basic accounting principles. You will also be detail oriented in your working approach, an effective communicator and keen to learn and develop further. You will also be organise in your work manner, and be happy working to deadlines where applicable.
