Accounts Assistant
  • Location: Paddock Wood
  • Job Type: Temporary, Full-time
  • Availability: Immediate start

We are currently seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant for an immediate start in an office-based role located in Paddock Wood. This temporary position is ideal for an individual who is immediately available and can commit to the duration of the temporary assignment.

Day to day of the role:
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
  • Completing purchase orders and managing payroll
  • Completing bank reconciliations
  • Entering financial information into appropriate software programs
  • Managing company ledgers
  • Processing business expenses and managing office budgets
  • Coordinating internal and external audits
  • Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
  • Verifying bank deposits and managing day-to-day transactions
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors
  • Handling accruals and prepayments
  • Managing monthly budgeting tasks
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
  • Familiarity with finance regulations
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software
  • Organisation and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
