We are currently working with a manufacturing company based in Nottingham who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to their team, working across both Accounts Payable and Receivable and reporting into the Finance Manger, you will be responsible for ensuring the accounting records are maintained accurately and efficiently.

Applicants will have a minimum of 3 years experience of working in Purchase Ledger including completion of bank reconciliations and payment runs and have experience of working in an import and export environment with knowledge of European VAT policies and worldwide.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
  • Review Supplier statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy
  • Alert supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
  • Emailing sales documents to forwarders and customers.
  • Assisting in management accounts.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in all aspects of Export and Import documentation - Invoicing, VAT policies in Europe & Worldwide. Working in this environment before.
  • Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently into computer software and systems.
  • Sage 200 experience (But not essential if all other Skills are met)
  • Able to work productively on tasks individually.
