Grafton Banks Finance are working with a commercial services company with offices in East Grinstead, West Sussex to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance and working in a team the role is to provide support with the smooth running of the companies finances including the accounts payable function.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Process miscellaneous and purchase ledger invoices in a timely manner including allocating to delivery notes where appropriate.
  • Regular maintenance of Purchase Ledger including supplier statement reconciliations and liaison with Purchasing department and suppliers as necessary.
  • Generation of sales invoices.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Bank postings of receipts and payments and Trust Payments.
  • To provide support and other administrative duties should they be required.

The successful candidate will have practical work experience within a finance function and/ or actively studying towards AAT qualification looking to further progress. You will need to have strong IT skills including experience of working with accounting packages and Excel ( Microsoft packages). Working in a small finance team you will need to have strong communication skills both verbal and written to be able to communicate effectively across the business. You will also need to be able to multi task and work under pressure on busy working days and tight deadlines.

This is a full-time permanent job working in office. Candidates available within one month's notice will take preference. For your experience you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits package.
