Accounts Assistant

Hybrid/Blackfriars

£40,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established organisation, is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic Finance team. If you have a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Accounts Inbox for supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Download and save invoices onto the system
  • Code and input invoices using Rapport/Sage software
  • Maintain the Purchase Ledger and review Aged Creditors reports
  • Prepare payment runs when required
  • Handle bank and credit card postings on Sage, including necessary reconciliations
  • Provide ad-hoc accounting support to the Finance Team
  • Undertake petty cash withdrawals and reconciliations
  • Assist in payroll administration, including starters, leavers, and statutory payments/deductions
  • Administer the company's benefits package, such as cycle to work scheme and childcare vouchers
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
  • Process and record statutory payments and deductions, such as SSP, SMP, SPP, and Shared Parental Pay
  • Assist in the preparation of annual P11d's and PSA's
  • Administer and coordinate expense cycles for verification and payment processing
  • Support the Finance team with monthly data analysis and reporting
  • Collaborate with the HR Director to ensure smooth payment of staff professional subscriptions
  • Prepare and reconcile pension journals for multiple locations
  • Input journals into Sage post payroll reconciliation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with Sage and CRM software
  • Strong data entry and invoice coding skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly organised and efficient with the ability to meet tight deadlines
