Exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our client a Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy based in Gateshead on a full time, permanent basis. The Accounts Assistant will assist the Managing Director in maintaining and delivering precise and punctual financial data, adhering to internal protocols and procedures to assist the company in meeting its objectives and meeting reporting deadlines.

This dynamic role involves contributing to both Cost and Management Accounting, as well as overseeing Financial Accounting and internal efficiency reporting.

Accounts Assistant Position Overview

Project Costing and Analysis from Project Management system

  • Budgetary Control
  • Financial Forecasting
  • Book-keeping via Xero
  • Liaison with the External Accountant
  • Reporting financial overview to Management Team
  • Resource Analysis from Project Management System

Specific Roles within Finance:

  • Sales Invoicing
  • Xero Book-keeping
  • Credit Control
  • Debt Management
  • Payroll maintenance

Accounts Assistant Position Requirements

  • AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified/ part qualified or QBE
  • 2/3 years' experience within a similar role previously is essential
  • Xero software experience is desirable

Accounts Assistant Position Remuneration

£28,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

21 days annual leave + bank holidays + Christmas shut down

35 hours per week
