Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties is working with a not-for-profit business, looking for an experienced individual with a knack for handling financial transactions. Our client is looking for a skilled Accounts Assistant to join a hands-on, dynamic team in Northamptonshire.

Role

In this role, you will be working closely with the Finance team to help with the day to day responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Maintain cash book and conduct bank reconciliations, including journal creation and posting.
  • Execute month-end closure procedures in Sage 200, ensuring accuracy in bank balancing and journal completion.
  • Handle cheque and cash payments, prepare for banking, and manage deposits.
  • Process various receipts and BACS payments
  • Reconcile credit card receipts monthly and process credit card expenses

The ideal candidate profile

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with finance software packages, preferably Sage 200 or equivalent.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently.
  • Highly organized and efficient with strong communication skills.
  • Previous experience in an accounts environment is essential.

Salary & Benefits

Paying up to £27,000 per annum, plus pension and private healthcare included.
