Goldhawk Associates are supporting a well-regarded and long-standing business within Rochester - looking to add an Accounts Assistant to its team.

The company is offering the chance for the successful individual to study towards their AAT qualification while growing and progressing their career. This is a newly created role due to company growth and expansion plans within the group.

Duties include:
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
• Coding invoices
• Processing requisitions and invoices onto the system
• Scanning and filing invoices
• Payment filing
• Statement reconciliation
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Support the sales team with ad-hoc tasks as needed
• Process supplier and subcontractor invoices for payment
• Gaining authorisation of invoices in a timely manner
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Managing key suppliers in the best interest of the company
• Providing an excellent level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders/suppliers

Experience and specifications required:
• Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant, Credit Controller or similar role
• You must have the right to work in the UK
• Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
