My Birmingham based company is looking for a well-organised and conscientious Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Benefits:

  • Mon - Fri - 36.5 hours per week


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Processing a range of documents onto the general ledger such as sales invoices, purchase invoices, purchase credit notes, payments etc.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Support the finance team in various administrative tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records including invoices, bills, and bank statements.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Perform data entry tasks to input financial information into accounting software.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
  • General office duties such as filing, photocopying, printing.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Previous experience working in an accounting or finance role.
  • Experience using Sage would be an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
