Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: up to £30,000 per annum DOE
The Role:
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the accounts department in managing financial transactions, settling insurer accounts, and maintaining accurate records. This role will involve working alongside an experienced accounts personnel and utilising the Acturis system for efficient account management
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing accounts alongside existing personnel, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process insurer accounts using the Acturis system, ensuring timely settlement and resolution of discrepancies.
- Liaise with insurers to communicate account-related information and resolve any issues effectively.
- Support in various accounting tasks such as data entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts department through proactive participation and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an accounts-related role, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Acturis, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with insurers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance would be advantageous but not essential.
