Are you a dedicated and skilled Accounts Assistant looking to join a progressive and forward-thinking firm? Here's your chance to be a part of a company that has consistent business growth. Due to their ongoing success, they are expanding their Accountancy team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing Statutory Accounts: You will be responsible for creating Statutory Accounts from various sources, including manual records, spreadsheets, or data imported from accounting software
  • Balancing Control Accounts: You will balance control accounts and prepare accounts files
  • Handling Client Accounting Software: You'll work with a variety of accounting software packages (including IRIS, SAGE, XERO, and Quickbooks)
  • Tax Computations: Prepare tax computations for sole traders and partnerships, as well as Corporation Tax returns for Ltd Companies
  • Client Communication: Correspond with clients and managers to complete assignments
  • Bookkeeping: Complete bookkeeping work on behalf of clients
  • VAT Returns: Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely filing with HMRC
  • Management Accounts: Produce management accounts for review by managers and directors


To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • completed your AAT L4 or have experience working in an Accountancy Practice
