Accounts Assistant - Succession plan to become the FC

Edge PS is a fast-growing multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy company located in the heart of Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious accounts assistant, as there is a clear pathway to becoming the Financial Controller.

This exciting opportunity has become available due to the growth of the business, where they are looking to expand across their different locations across the country. We are looking for a candidate who aims to progress through to a recognised qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). This role will need to be experienced within the world of finance and to be highly organised, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.

The responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with the finance team on report preparation: management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.  
• Ensure timely processing of invoices.
• Provide support for accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Maintain accuracy of financial records and documents.
• Facilitate bank reconciliations.
• Assist with payroll processing and related duties.
• Address financial inquiries from suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
