Accounts Assistant- Mat Cover

Global Accounting Network are partnered exclusively with a successful and growing facilities company. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team for a 12 month contract as Maternity Cover.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone to join a supportive team in a varied role. This role is based in the office 5 days a week, which will allow you to work closely with experienced accountants and give you exposure to the wider finance function.

The role:

- Support with month end duties such as:

• Cash allocation,
• Ledger updates,
• Bank reconciliations
• Run and Issue invoicing stats
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Accruals and prepayments
• Cash flow forecast

- Payroll duties include:

• Process overtime, advances, travel loans
• Process new tax codes and any new student loans
• Liaise with HR to process starters/leaver and changes
• Run reports as and when necesarry

The person:

• Experience carrying out month end duties
• Experience in supporting with payroll responsibilities
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
