What will the Accounts Assistant do?

As an Accounts Assistant - Accounts Payable, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Financial & Management Accountant and finance team. Your contributions will ensure accurate procedures and timely reporting, upholding the highest accounting standards. Get hands-on experience with industry-leading technologies like SAGE, Protean, and SAP. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to be involved in exciting projects like ERP migration and bank transitions, keeping you at the forefront of financial innovation. You will handle employee expenses with precision, ensuring accuracy in processing and posting to SAGE200. You'll also manage corporate credit card statements and ensure timely payments, contributing to seamless financial operations. You’ll take charge of receiving and processing supplier invoices, orchestrating weekly payment runs, and resolving queries efficiently.

What we need from you!

You will ideally bring at least 3 years of accounts payable experience to the table, demonstrating your proficiency in financial procedures and systems.You will be proficient in technologies like SAGE200 and Microsoft Excel, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new platforms like SAP and Protean. Your ability to analyse data and manage complex financial tasks will set you apart. You will show initiative, drive, and a results-oriented mindset. Your strong communication skills and team collaboration abilities will be essential in achieving our shared goals. You will be great at building and maintaining strong supplier relationships. You will have a working knowledge of banking and cash book management to supporting month-end financial close processes. You really will be the backbone of our client’s finance operations.
