Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an Accountant on behalf of a Local Authority in North Yorkshire to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will provide financial support to service directorates across the Authority. These duties include introducing, developing and documenting financial processes and procedures in relation to debtors, creditors, balance sheet and bank reconciliations and year-end closedown. The Accountant will also work closely with service managers, provide regular financial monitoring, undertake budget and financial planning work and support the managers in grant claim submissions.

CandidateCriteria

  • Qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, CCAB)
  • Public Sector Accounting experience is highly preferred
  • Experience of developing financial processes and supporting service managers with budget/financial planning
  • Experience of using Xero is highly preferred
  • Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
