Senior Accountant
Essex IG9 5BY (on Central Line)

• Full Time, Permanent
• £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

Blitz Gooday is a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, Chartered Tax Advisers, and Registered Auditors. Our small, busy practice looks after around 200 clients from various industries. We view ourselves as part of our clients’ team, providing day-to-day support as well as traditional services.

We are looking for a recently qualified Accountant who is looking to move to a position where you can really make a difference.

About the Role:

As a Senior Accountant at Blitz Gooday, you'll report directly to the Head of Practice and play a pivotal role in the firm. Your responsibilities will include:

• Being the first point of contact for clients
• Preparation and review of statutory accounts
• Management accounting
• Tax compliance work and advice
• Onboarding new clients
• Utilising your expertise in Xero, VAT, and payroll
• Assisting with various tasks as needed
• Early involvement in business development and marketing activities
• Ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the practice
• Taking ownership of budgets and deadlines
• Providing mentoring and training as required

• Is recently qualified as an accountant and eager to make a difference
• Is proactive and able to work well independently and as part of a wider team
• Enjoys responsibility and thinking outside the box
• Is an all-rounder, proficient in accounts preparation and tax returns
• Excels in time management and meeting deadlines
• Thrives on learning new skills
• Is motivated, enthusiastic, and personable with excellent communication skills
• Enjoys regular client contact
